We are excited to announce that IndieGames will be participating in this year’s winter edition of the Magnificon Expo convention, taking place in Krakow from November 30th to December 1st. This long-running festival has brought together fans of Japanese pop culture for more than 20 years, including anime, board games, manga, music, and of course, video games. Enthusiasts from all across Poland, as well as international guests, travel to the former Polish capital to enjoy a weekend filled with panels, workshops, competitions, and even culinary activities.
The goal of Magnificon Expo is not only to promote Japanese traditions, trends, and art, but also to help shape the Polish cultural scene more broadly. Although video games are not the main focus, the festival still offers unique insight into gaming through conferences and panel discussions on specific titles and franchises, the cultural context of games, and the industry in general, including perspectives on game journalism.
As usual, attendees will be able to visit themed gaming zones throughout the event. There will be a CFA gaming zone where players can try out the latest Nintendo titles and the newest releases from Cenega’s lineup. Visitors will also have the chance to participate in a 1v1 Tekken 8 tournament, with a collector’s edition of the game as the grand prize.
Another zone will be hosted by Project Genshin, an initiative gathering fans of this popular open-world RPG. This section will feature a real-life recreation of a Genshin village filled with recognizable objects, various tasks, and in-game locations. Additionally, there will be an area dedicated to rhythm games of all kinds, where visitors can choose from different genres and test their skills.
