Eclair Games has officially announced its new narrative adventure RatScum with a teaser trailer debut at The MIX Fall Showcase. The game invites players to experience a unique perspective, moving through the hidden world of vents and pipes as a lone rat. This atmospheric title promises a blend of puzzle-solving, stealth, and discovery, all set within a mysterious, decaying apartment building.
In RatScum, you’re thrown into a shadowy world at the edge of the city, a place where danger and unexpected beauty coexist. As a rat, you must use your wits to navigate this environment, thinking “outside the box” to outsmart traps and other obstacles. The game emphasizes stealth and clever navigation; the human tenants aren’t fond of furry strangers and will react with panic, or worse, if you’re spotted.
RatScum highlights the importance of making allies within the rodent community, as “every rat knows that surviving without the help of your own kind is never easy”. To find your way home, it will be crucial to be accepted by your fellow rats. The adventure also teases a “strange little story” where curiosity leads the way.
