Arcade Racer Project TurboBlast Revs Up Kickstarter

Project TurboBlast, an upcoming arcade racer, is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter to finish development. The game cleverly blends the fun drifting of kart racers with the speed and combat of anti-gravity games. Furthermore, this project is a solo effort by JP Pandamonium of Pandamonium studio, created as a tribute to classics like F-Zero, Hot Wheels, and Crash Team Racing.

Project TurboBlast is aiming for a 2026 release exclusively on PC via Steam. To reach this goal, the crowdfunding campaign launched on September 23, 2025. It seeks to raise $20,000 for polish, new vehicles, and features like cross-platform multiplayer. As of late September, the campaign has raised about $12,300 from 136 backers. Currently, reward tiers range from a simple $5 mention to a $40 bundle that includes a Steam key, digital soundtrack, and concept art book.

The core gameplay features tight, responsive controls, which are optimized for chaining drifts into speed boosts. In fact, skillful cornering rewards you with meter-building boosts that launch your jet-powered vehicle to fast speeds across more than twelve handcrafted tracks. Furthermore, the cel-shaded art style pops with neon tracks and car designs, giving the game a charming, nostalgic 90s toy feel.

Multiplayer is a major focus of Project TurboBlast. First, it offers online lobbies for up to eight pilots with cross-play. In addition, you can enjoy local LAN splitscreen for couch chaos. The game embraces also community creativity with modding tools via Steam Workshop. This allows you to remix tracks, vehicles, and even AI behaviors. Finally, deep customization options, including paint jobs, engine tunes, and driver outfits, ensure every player can create a signature ride.
