Life as a shopkeeper and adventurer just got a little more crowded, and a lot more adorable. Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault has received its second major Early Access update, introducing a host of new features led by one particularly charming addition: Bloblets. You can also check our review here.
The new “Blob-Life Balance” update allows players to discover Bloblet companions during their dungeon runs. By completing specific objectives, players can earn a special currency used to adopt these tiny companions and bring them back to their shop. Once settled in, Bloblets aren’t just decorative pets. Giving them attention provides useful bonuses that can increase relic values, boost tips, and improve other aspects of your business.
A new Pet Seller has also joined the growing roster of vendors, while Will’s shop can now be upgraded to level four, giving you even more room to expand your operation. For those focused on combat, several new weapons have also been added alongside a Poison specialization path that becomes more powerful the longer enemies remain affected.
Those looking for a real challenge will also find a brand-new Very Hard difficulty mode. As the name suggests, it’s designed for experienced adventurers who feel they’ve mastered everything the dungeons currently have to offer.
On the story side, the update introduces the sixth Vault challenge, pushing the narrative forward as the game moves closer to its full launch. Developer Digital Sun has confirmed that the seventh and final challenge, along with the story’s conclusion, will arrive with the 1.0 release later this year.
There’s still plenty left on the roadmap as well. Additional shop improvements, a completed in-game Codex, and console versions are all planned before launch. When version 1.0 arrives, Moonlighter 2 will expand beyond PC (Steam) and launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and through Xbox Game Pass.
