Orien Studio has announced that Phantom Tower, its fast-paced roguelike action RPG, will launch in Steam Early Access on July 13, 2026. After four years of development, the upcoming title aims to blend hack-and-slash combat with deep dungeon crawling, while a playable demo is already available for players who want an early look.

Phantom Tower puts focus on challenging gameplay built around eight distinct character classes, each featuring unique abilities, combat styles, and elemental affinities. During battles, players can freely switch between four elements: IGNIS, AQUA, TERRA, and VENTI to trigger 16 different elemental reactions. These combinations can freeze enemies, spread powerful status effects, or unleash devastating chain attacks capable of clearing entire groups of foes.

Outside combat, the game offers extensive progression and customization. You can collect more than 200 pieces of equipment, including 128 weapons across six weapon types, while the Soulbinder system allows gear stats to be permanently enhanced and upgraded to level 99. As you advance through the tower, you will also unlock 47 Tower Blessings, powerful modifiers that can dramatically change how each run plays.

The Early Access version will include two primary modes. Climb Mode serves as the main campaign, allowing progression to carry over between runs as players steadily ascend the tower. Meanwhile, Survival Mode offers a tougher challenge, placing players against endless waves of enemies where defeat results in a permanent end to the run.
