Cold Iron Studios will release cooperative third-person shooter Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 on August 25, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The sequel expands its fireteams to four players, who take control of Colonial Marines deployed across hostile locations within the Alien universe. Missions will alternate between tense encounters and large Xenomorph swarms, requiring players to coordinate their classes and adapt as enemy numbers increase.
Cold Iron is introducing deeper squad mechanics, improved enemy behaviour and a customizable Specialist class. Players will also be able to modify their weapons using new elemental attachments and other equipment options.
The digital Standard Edition will cost $49.99. A $69.99 40th Anniversary Premium Edition includes the base game alongside Ripley’s Hive Exterminator Pack and Herk Mondo’s Pest Pack.
Ripley’s pack adds an outfit based on Ellen Ripley’s appearance during the climax of Aliens, as well as a modified pulse rifle with a fire-based effect. Herk Mondo’s content includes another exclusive outfit, an oversized modified pulse rifle and several cosmetic customization items. Standard Edition owners can purchase both packs through a $19.99 upgrade.
A separate Alien: Romulus-themed pack will also arrive at launch for $9.99. Rain’s Jackson’s Star Pack includes an outfit inspired by protagonist Rain Carradine and a modified pulse rifle equipped with an underbarrel cryoweapon capable of freezing enemies.
