Waiting for five other people to finish their turns sounds like tactical RPG purgatory, so Tactful Tactics removes that problem completely. All players select their actions simultaneously, see what their teammates intend to do and then execute the entire plan together.
Developed and published by Yokozuna Games, this cooperative tactical RPG supports between one and six players online. Party members can watch each other’s proposed actions before confirming a turn, allowing somebody to adjust their positioning, attack or support ability when they notice a gap in the plan.
Players create individual builds by selecting a class, weapons, equipment and skills. Coordination matters because each character’s contribution becomes part of one combined action phase rather than a sequence of isolated turns. It’s an appealing idea for multiplayer tactics, although six people simultaneously changing their minds could produce its own special variety of chaos.
Yokozuna expects Early Access to last approximately one to two years. Planned additions include two further acts, three intermediate classes, more than ten advanced classes, new enemies and equipment, knockback mechanics, controller support and AI companions intended to improve solo play. The price will increase when the complete version launches.
Tactful Tactics is scheduled to enter Steam Early Access in fall 2026 with Act 1 and Act 2 available. The initial version will contain five beginner classes, five intermediate classes, more than 100 equipment pieces and over 80 skills.
