With a significant number of passionate fans of the hack’n’slash genre, the team at Eko Software studio, under NACON, has announced Dragonkin: The Banished. This title will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam in February 2025.
The game pays homage to the genre, revealing an original dark fantasy world where the character classes are mutant hybrids of dragons and humans. Players can face challenges solo or in co-op mode with up to four players, following the story and battling powerful dragons to free the world from their domination.
You’ll play as the Barbarian, Witch, Knight, and Archer, and each hero has developed combat techniques to fight against dragons. As you progress through the game, you can develop and improve your character, gear, dragon, and the Ancestral Grid. The innovative Ancestral Grid mechanic further enhances your character. Acquire loot in the form of abilities and place them within the grid alongside various modifiers. Then, customize the arrangement of these elements to shape your own combat style and become even more powerful. Each hero possesses their own grid with endless combinations of abilities and modifiers.
At the very heart of the mountains lies a great city and fortress of humanity. This city constantly grows and changes based on your decisions and discoveries. Throughout your progress, you have the opportunity to choose which area of development to focus on, upgrade your buildings, find new residents, equipment, and additional services. All the heroes in your city can actively participate in its development and contribute to unlocking new content.
