Hooded Horse and Overhype Studios announced that their sci-fi turn-based tactics game MENACE has surpassed 250,000 copies sold since launching into early access in February. You can find it on Steam, GOG, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store.

To celebrate the achievement, the developers have released a new content update that expands the game with additional missions, environmental variety, and gameplay mechanics. There’s a new Pirate mission titled “Eliminate Leadership,” which challenges you to take down a Pirate Captain and their crew, with the possibility of acquiring unique gear upon victory.

Additionally, a revamped Alien mission “Corrupt Xeno DNA” replaces a previous encounter and introduces close-quarters combat scenarios centered around destroying a nest of alien eggs hidden within dense environments.

The update also introduces new environmental assets, including desert ruins on the planet Mock. Alongside these changes, players can expect new weapon models and variants, as well as a practical addition to infantry abilities, allowing squads to cut through wire fences when positioned nearby.
