A unique take on gothic action games has emerged from the developers behind some beloved indie hits. ReVamp was officially revealed during the Future Games Show Spring Showcase, introducing a unique twist on the classic vampire-hunting formula by putting players in control of Dracula himself.

Developed and published by Spanish studio Digital Sun, known for titles like Moonlighter and Cataclismo, the game flips the traditional narrative. Instead of storming Dracula’s castle as a hero, you take on the role of the vampire lord defending his fortress from relentless waves of human invaders such as knights, priests, and barbarians.

Often described as a “Tower-Defensevania,” the game combines strategic base-building with roguelite progression and action combat. Players reshape Dracula’s castle room by room, building defensive layouts designed to trap and overwhelm enemies. These rooms can be filled with summoned creatures like skeleton warriors, archers, swarms of rats, and harpies, creating deadly choke points throughout the fortress.

While strategy is key, you are not limited to managing defenses from afar. Dracula himself can enter the battlefield to fight directly, unleashing powerful melee attacks and blood magic abilities when the castle’s defenses begin to crumble. The roguelite structure ensures each defense cycle feels different. Blood harvested from defeated enemies becomes the primary resource for upgrading the castle, unlocking stronger monster units, and expanding new rooms. E

You can wishlist the game on Steam.
