Retro dark fantasy roguelike deckbuilding game HARMA, which is being developed by INDIRECT SHINE and will be published by Astrolabe Games, is set to win you over with its pixel graphics and strategic gameplay. While it doesn’t have a release date yet, it will launch in Early Access on Steam inviting you to uncover the truth behind a burning kingdom, fallen knights, and a missing father in a world consumed by betrayal and despair.
The game’s core is a strategic artifact system. Over 300 unique cards get their power from three randomly activated artifacts each round. You can spend Focus to manually trigger these artifacts, letting you shape your fate and change the battlefield. This mix of chance and choice, plus two playable characters, lets you create personalized decks and strategies to tackle challenges.
The Early Access version will focus on the first chapter of its four-act story-driven campaign. This initial chapter introduces you to the game’s narrative, filled with branching dialogues and cinematic cutscenes that depict the fall of the kingdom of Eden. Also, For those who prefer pure strategy over story, HARMA includes a Dimensional Rift mode, an endlessly replayable challenge where you will face relentless battles without the narrative elements.
