Solo developer Type-Ten has revealed Fracture Field, a quarry mining game that starts with a single click and slowly grows into a large, tech-driven operation. The game is planned to launch on PC via Steam later this year and aims to mix the simple joy of breaking rocks by hand with the long-term depth of an automation game.

Players begin with a small quarry and basic tools, breaking blocks one hit at a time. As they dig through twelve different ground layers, such as stone, clay, and sandstone, they uncover valuable metals and rare gems. Because the quarry has limited space, you must use timed explosives and careful digging to control the field and get the most out of every block they mine.

As the quarry grows, the work moves from hands-on mining to managing advanced systems. A central drone hub allows you to build and upgrade mining drones, each with its own role and behavior. These drones take over much of the heavy work, letting players focus on expansion and upgrades. With more than 100 upgrades and 16 different currencies to track, the game keeps adding new systems as progress continues, ensuring there is always something new to unlock.
