The highly anticipated sequel to the 2022 indie hit PowerWash Simulator 2 has reportedly had a “release date trailer” leak. The game, developed and self-published by UK studio FuturLab, will expand its formula where players use high-pressure washers in a relaxing, first-person simulation to restore dirty environments to a pristine state.
The sequel is set to launch digitally across PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. While a previous release date was rumored for September 30, 2025, which was reportedly delayed for platform certification, resulting in the release of a demo instead, PowerWash Simulator 2 is officially still awaiting a confirmed launch window.
On October 6, a post surfaced on the r/GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, alleging that the game would launch on October 23, 2025. The post shared a link to what was claimed to be the official reveal trailer on YouTube.
However, the link quickly vanished, it was either taken down or made private just minutes after the post appeared. This sudden disappearance immediately caused doubts and led to many unanswered requests for copies of the video in the comments. Most importantly, no one shared details about what the trailer actually showed; users focused only on the rumored date, not on the footage’s content.
Right now, the leak hasn’t been confirmed by FuturLab or any major leak websites. This makes many people think it was either a fake rumor or a post that went up too early and was quickly taken down. Still, the date in the leak does match the late 2025 timeframe FuturLab hinted at after the game gone gold last month.
