Indie developer titolovesyou is celebrating the early access success of their new ultra-violent first-person shooter PIGFACE on Steam. The game has quickly achieved an “Overwhelmingly Positive” status, with a 96% positive rating from 532 user reviews, and has already sold over 10,000 copies in its initial early access phase.

Released in September 2025 following a successful demo launch in June, PIGFACE immediately grabs attention with its distinctive retro aesthetic, inspired by the style of classic PlayStation 1-era games. The core gameplay is a gritty, ultra-violent FPS experience where the player takes on the role of a mercenary forced into a life of crime.

The game puts players in the shoes of Exit, a woman haunted by a dark past who is blackmailed into completing high-stakes “dirty jobs” for a shadowy and sinister employer. The narrative drives the gameplay through a combat-filled sandbox, where the primary objective is to earn money. This currency is vital for purchasing new equipment on the black market. Players can strategically unlock unique skins, each of which grants special abilities, allowing for distinct play styles—from aggressive, frontal assaults to careful, stealth-based tactics.
