Episodic narrative-driven adventure game Dispatch, from independent team AdHoc Studio, has achieved remarkable success since its launch, selling over one million copies in its first two weeks and hitting an all-time peak of 131,074 concurrent players according to SteamDB.

The game is described as a “superhero workplace comedy where choices matter”, blending interactive storytelling with light simulation elements. Players take on the role of a dispatcher tasked with managing a deeply dysfunctional team of ex-villain misfit heroes. The core gameplay loop involves strategically choosing which hero to send on emergencies across a city, all while juggling internal team drama, moral dilemmas, and humorous office politics.

Dispatch launched on October 22, 2025 for Steam and PlayStation 5, with the first two of its eight planned episodes immediately available. The game’s strong performance, evidenced by a 94% positive rating across more than 15,187 Steam reviews, highlights a growing player interest in narrative-sim games.
