The team at Fabraz, the studio behind the acclaimed Demon Turf, has revealed a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming 3D platformer Demon Tides. Featured during the Six One Indie Showcase, the trailer highlighted the game’s open-world, mechanics, and a greater emphasis on exploration.
Demon Tides serves as a sequel to the 2021 title Demon Turf, but it forgoes its predecessor’s linear level design in favor of a more ambitious open-world structure. The game follows the protagonist Beebz as she and her crew navigate the vast oceans and dozens of locales that make up Ragnar’s Rock. The trailer showcased blend of environments, with Beebz traversing colorful islands and biomes with a focus on momentum and precision.
The game’s platforming builds on the lessons learned from Demon Turf, with controls described as “incredibly tight, responsive, and technical”. Demon Tides introduces dynamic new moves, including chaining dashes and grappling, that integrate directly with its combat system. Players will also be able to upgrade Beebz’s gear and moveset throughout the journey, unlocking new abilities and customization options.
Described by the studio as their “most ambitious” game yet, Demon Tides is currently in development for PC via Steam, with an expected launch in 2026.
