Another video game from the Croatian center for gaming industry in Novska is coming to consoles. Go Home Annie, a first-person horror adventure, will finally bring its dark and paranormal world to delight all console gaming enthusiasts!
A title that has been in the spotlight of horror fans from the very beginning – especially those drawn to the SCP universe – has been available on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store so far, and will now launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on March 31. Developed by the startup Misfit Village, based in the PISMO Entrepreneurial Incubator powered by A1, and supported by Lithuanian publisher Nordcurrent Labs, Go Home Annie promises an unforgettable experience that will captivate all fans of the horror genre.
The game is set in the mystical and enigmatic Žumberak mountain region, where players take on the role of Annie, a protagonist exploring an abandoned house, confronting paranormal entities and uncovering the secrets hidden within. The game features a rich array of puzzles that players must solve in order to progress and reveal the shocking truths behind the bizarre experiments that took place inside this mysterious house.
Although set within the broader SCP universe, Go Home Annie delivers an original story that will be unfamiliar even to the most dedicated fans of SCP fiction. Every component of the game – from atmosphere and characters to puzzles and voice performances – has been carefully crafted to create a level of tension that keeps players on the edge of their seats. The game promises everything horror enthusiasts seek: mysterious entities, paranormal phenomena, and surprises that will keep you in suspense until the very end.
Lithuanian publisher Nordcurrent Labs has released an official trailer confirming the launch of the psychological thriller Go Home Annie on consoles, along with the announcement that the PC version will receive a free update simultaneously. The trailer offers a first look at the console experience and highlights the growing attention the project is receiving from both domestic and international audiences.

“Following the release of Go Home Annie on PC at the end of 2024, we immediately began working on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions. During development for consoles, we recognized an opportunity to expand the game and add what players most wanted from Go Home Annie – more horror. We took the time to include an additional hour of gameplay in which players are hunted by a terrifying creature, fully delivering on what players expect from our game. This addition will be free for all players on both PC and consoles. We are excited to finally release the project across all current gaming platforms,” said Mladen Bošnjak, CEO of Misfit Village.
He added that he is also enthusiastic about the development of the Center of Gaming Industry, whose first phase includes the construction of a faculty dedicated to young game developers who will enter the labor market upon graduation and contribute to the Croatian gaming industry.
“We at the PISMO Incubator, along with the staff of the Regional Coordinator of Sisak-Moslavina County and the Regional Development Agency SIMORA, are pleased that stories like this demonstrate the value and justification of the project of Center of Gaming Industry. Infrastructure and skilled workforce are key to the development of the gaming industry,” stated the representatives of the PISMO Incubator.
As a reminder, the lead project of the Center of Gaming Industry is the public institution Regional Coordinator of Sisak-Moslavina County, in partnership with Sisak-Moslavina County, the Regional Development Agency SIMORA, and the City of Novska. The total project value amounts to €38,661,324.08. The project aims to finance the construction and establishment of a faculty focused on video game development, as well as the construction of a student dormitory in the city of Novska, along with an energy facility and transport infrastructure.
Funding is provided through the Just Transition Fund, whose overarching goal is to mitigate the combined negative effects of the transition toward a climate-neutral economy. By developing new skills and fostering a new sector and technologies (gaming industry), as well as supporting entrepreneurship, the project seeks to increase employment, reduce population outflow, and attract young professionals and entrepreneurs to the Sisak-Moslavina County area. The project began on March 29, 2024, and will run until November 29, 2027.
