Following last year’s successful two-day edition, the Blend: Film & Games conference has been confirmed for October 23–24, 2026 in Zagreb. The event is organized by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC), through its Games Croatia initiative, and the Zagreb Film Office, in collaboration with its academic partner, Algebra Bernays University.
Blend: Film & Games is one of the few conferences in the world that systematically and programmatically connects two of the most dynamic branches of the audiovisual industry – film and video games. Last year’s edition attracted more than 600 registered participants, with a program featuring over 20 panels and lectures, including speakers from Croatia, Belgium, Canada, Italy, Germany, Latvia, Poland, Sweden, the United States, Austria, and the United Kingdom.
Among last year’s keynote speakers who impressed audiences were Thierry Van Gyseghem, animation director of the successful video game Baldur’s Gate 3, Martins Upitis, animator of the Academy Award-winning film Flow, and Damjan Mravunac, composer known for his work on numerous successful video games such as the Serious Sam series, along with many others.
This year’s edition will feature an even richer international program, focusing on key topics shaping the future of the Croatian and European audiovisual sectors. In addition to expert panels and lectures, visitors can expect workshops led by prominent international and local professionals, as well as networking opportunities with industry experts from both fields.
Blend: Film & Games is not conceived as just another conference, but as a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and the development of new projects that position Croatia on the map of the European audiovisual industry.
Conference registration opens in late May 2026. More information is available on the official website: www.blendzagreb.eu
