The start of 2026 was a very busy time for us – not only because we were reflecting on our impressions, memories, and opinions about the games released the previous year, but also in terms of our plans for the next 12 months. These plans also include events we attend, which give us insight into the most important news and topics across the gaming industry, as well as an understanding of trends and movements in contemporary culture more broadly, which are also useful when assessing the state of the gaming sector. With many upcoming projects that we’ll be participating in and covering, we’d like to take this opportunity to look back on our first event of the year: Anime Symphony Kameralnie concert.

This time, the Anime Symphony ensemble performed with a smaller orchestra, accompanied by music school students making their stage debut. There were also singers who, from the very beginning of the project, have been performing both solo pieces and group numbers, as well as dance and acting troupes bringing to life the story told through the music.

As the title suggests, the music performed at the concert was drawn from various anime, including both popular and classic series as well as lesser-known but highly regarded productions. We also noticed that some of the selected anime have video game adaptations, such as the Pokémon franchise, which has numerous main series games and spin-offs, as is also the case with JoJo’s Bizarre AdventureDragon Ball, and Neon Genesis Evangelion, among others.

So, we listened to over two hours of music that spanned various media, arranged in a unique and unprecedented way. We’ve been able to follow the project’s progress practically from the very beginning: from its first concert at the Magnificon Winter Expo all the way to this year’s performance and plans for the future. At this point, we know that Anime Symphony will perform in Gdańsk in July and will return to Kraków in October to premiere its third season, so we’ll be eagerly following the project’s progress.
