Another One Bites the Dust: Kejora Joins Games Delayed to Escape Silksong

Indie developer Berangin Creative and publisher Soft Source have announced a new release date for their narrative puzzle adventure Kejora. Originally scheduled to launch on Steam on September 4, 2025 the game will now be released on January 8, 2026. This decision, described as a difficult one for both teams, was made to avoid launching on the same day as the massively anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong.

“We hold only respect for Team Cherry,” the developers stated, acknowledging that Hollow Knight has always been a standout in the gaming industry. By postponing the release, the team aims to ensure that Kejora receives the attention and support it deserves.

The move also comes with good news for fans. Originally planned as a Steam-only release, the delayed launch now allows for the game to be simultaneously released on multiple platforms, including the Epic Games Store, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Kejora, which began its life in 2021 as a run-and-gun side-scroller, has evolved into a narrative puzzle adventure that holds a special place in the hearts of its developers. It features hand-drawn art and animation, environmental platformer puzzles, and party-based inspired gameplay with 2 supporting characters with unique skills to help Kejora in her exploration and journey.
