Indie development studio and publisher BatFields has shared more details about its upcoming action MMA title City Of Ashes. This post-apocalyptic third-person isometric fighter is set on the streets and ruins of a collapsed city.
City Of Ashes focuses on protagonist Chris and his daughter Charlotte. After an apocalyptic pandemic and the fall of the government, former MMA fighter Chris tries to survive with his daughter. When bandits kidnap her, Chris races through the ruined city in search of her, battling gangs along the way.
The game features intense close-quarters combat with a strong emphasis on fist fighting, though players will occasionally use improvised weapons. It also includes an extensive moveset and special attacks, which can be unlocked through a simple RPG system. You can upgrade your abilities through loot found while exploring or defeating enemies.
BatFields is known for the hugely successful DEAD EFFECT series, which has amassed over 30 million downloads. The studio plans to release City Of Ashes in early 2025. The game will be available on PC via Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, as well as iOS and Android devices.
