Coin Maker Simulator Turns a Prison Cell Into a Medieval Workshop, Launching in 2026 on Steam

Studio 312 has officially announced Coin Maker Simulator, a first-person crafting game planned for release on PC via Steam in Q2 2026. While it fits within the management genre, the game takes a very different approach. Players step into the role of a former royal treasury manager who has fallen out of favor and been locked away in the King’s dungeon. Instead of running a business, your goal is simple but demanding: make coins, earn trust, and buy back your freedom.

Each day, the King sends orders that must be completed by hand using a range of tools and workstations. You will melt raw materials, shape metal, and press coins through a detailed crafting process that focuses on physical interaction and clear feedback. Every step is designed to feel calm and satisfying, turning hard labor into a steady and rewarding routine. As your skills improve, so does your standing with the King, but freedom is not earned through obedience alone.

Alongside official work, players are free to create coins in secret. These extra earnings form the heart of a hidden economy that runs beneath the dungeon’s surface. The money can be used to bribe guards, unlocking better tools, faster workstations, and special bonuses that make crafting easier or more efficient.

Outside of coin making, the game also offers a quieter, more personal experience through dungeon customization. Your prison cell does not have to stay dark and lifeless. You can clean up the space, improve lighting, and add decorations to turn the cell into a comfortable workshop.
