A medieval monastery and top-notch beer? Sign us up! Developer Hammer & Ravens and publisher Shiro Unlimited have announced that their historical tycoon simulator Ale Abbey will be available in Early Access starting February 18th for PC via Steam.
In Ale Abbey, you take on the role of a medieval master brewer, tasked with running a humble yet ambitious monastery. You’ll need to give your beer a unique name, experiment with recipes, discover special characteristics, and ensure your ales achieve unprecedented popularity. Additionally, you’ll research over 20 European beer styles, carefully select the equipment that best suits your needs, and adjust the quantity, quality, and temperature to create the perfect brew. You must also rely on the skills of your monks and allow them to create a sacred beer.
In this game, you’ll also build living quarters for your holy crew, production facilities like libraries and breweries, and multi-purpose spaces, including the refectory and the abbot’s office. But it’s not just about making beer; it’s about establishing a brewing legacy. In Ale Abbey, happy monks need more than just a good work environment, they require a steady stream of delicious beer. But that’s not all! You’ll have to appease the local lords, forge friendships with nearby monasteries, and deal with bandit raids.
