Mana Potion Studios recently announced that their medieval strategy game, Becastled, will leave Steam Early Access on October 23rd. The game can be best described as Total War meets Settlers, but it will also appeal to fans of Age of Empires or Stronghold due to its tower defense and cozy city-building elements. Originally released in February 2021, the game is now ready to welcome new players with its full launch.

It currently holds a “Very Positive” rating on Steam from over 2,525 reviews. You assume the role of a castle lord in the Sun Kingdom, spending your days building and managing a settlement and your nights defending it against sieges by Moon Beasts. This day-night cycle creates a satisfying balance of calm construction and intense combat, as you focus on resource gathering (wood, stone, and food) and defense planning (walls, towers, and archers) to survive.

Becastled offers flexible castle layouts with three wall types, gates, and towers, allowing you to experiment with your defenses. Customization extends to aesthetics with various building materials and decorations, which enhances the game’s cozy vibe.
