Originally slated for release on March 19, 2026, across PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire has now been delayed to April 16, 2026. According to the developers, the additional time is being used to polish the final build and ensure the project meets its quality ambitions.

You play as Jack Pepper, a trench coat–wearing private investigator navigating the crime-ridden streets of Mouseburg, a black-and-white city filled with gangs, crooked cops, kidnappings, and political corruption. Lending his voice to the role is Troy Baker, widely recognized for performances in The Last of Us, BioShock Infinite, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Underneath the cartoon exterior beats the heart of a classic “boomer shooter.” The combat is explosive, chaotic, and reminiscent of genre hits like Doom. Players wield an arsenal of weapons, unleash destructive power-ups, and face inventive boss encounters.
