Platypus Reclayed, a reimagining of the 2002 cult classic shoot ’em up, launches on September 18, 2025. Developed by Claymatic Games, an indie studio led by the original creator Anthony Flack, the game revitalizes its signature clay-animated art while updating its gameplay for modern players.
In the chaotic world of Collosatropolis, you pilot the F-27 “Platypus” fighter plane, humanity’s last hope against an encroaching empire. The game keeps its fast-paced, one-button gameplay, making it an accessible arcade shooter for newcomers. At the same time, it adds new features for veteran fans. The clay-animated art is now in stunning 4K widescreen, and the soundtrack features new 1980s-inspired remixes from C64audio.
