Rainy Night Creations, in partnership with publisher Rainy Frog, is set to launch Spy Drops, a stealth action-adventure game that blends nostalgic 1990s aesthetics with modern flair. It releases July 31, 2025, on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. A new trailer shows off its tense, espionage-filled world, where you’ll infiltrate bases, outsmart enemies, and uncover a conspiracy.
In Spy Drops, you’re an elite operative for the counter-terrorist Spy Drops team. Your mission: stop an eco-terrorist group trying to wipe out all digital records and send the world back to a technological dark age. You’ll go behind enemy lines for covert missions, gathering intel, planting spy devices, and rescuing prisoners. But as you progress, a larger conspiracy unfolds, making you question your missions and even your employers’ true motives.
Spy Drops shines with its randomized mission layouts, ensuring every playthrough feels new. You explore enemy bases room by room, choosing your approach: sneak past guards, hack cameras, or disable security. Stealth is key, rewarding you with more experience for avoiding kills and staying hidden. You can customize your loadout with a wide range of equipment, including drones, night vision goggles, sniper rifles, taser guns, and even silent sponge boots.
This title blends retro low-polygon 3D visuals with modern effects like real-time lighting, shadows, and dynamic weather across three distinct environments: military bases, jungles, and deserts. Each setting offers unique challenges, from tight corridors to enemies who react to shadows and footsteps. The game also features boss fights that test your skills.
