With over 200,000 wishlists and 10 million views across social media, the highly anticipated co-op gas station simulator Roadside Research has released a free public demo. Developers Cybernetic Walrus and publisher Oro Interactive announced the demo is now available on Steam, while the full version will be available later this year.

Roadside Research is a 1–4 player co-op simulator where you and your friends manage a gas station while posing as aliens. Your mission is to blend in, act human, and gather as much intel as possible without arousing suspicion. This means refuelling cars, restocking shelves, and keeping the station running like true professionals.

The game also features dual progression paths, where you must manage two separate areas for upgrades: the gas station itself, which is essential for satisfying customers and gathering intel, and the hidden alien research station, where you can prepare for the full-scale invasion.

Current demo provides a preview of the chaotic solo and co-op gameplay, where up to four players must manage a gas station while completing secret alien objectives. A key feature is the ability to customize the shop’s layout, allowing you to rearrange shelves, displays, and equipment to create an ideal station or to better conceal your alien operations.
