Shiro Unlimited and FakeFish presented Frostrail, an open-world FPS survival game set in a post-apocalyptic icy world. The game will be available in Early Access on Steam in 2026, and the first trailer was shown during the Triple-i Initiative Showcase.

The game’s plot takes place in the ruins of a former empire, destroyed by a cruel winter. As a member of the Penitent Gardeners, you operate an armored steam train, the only refuge and means of transport through the icy wilderness. The train is not just a shelter but also a mobile base that requires constant improvements, from reinforced armor to weapon platforms.

Exploring the frozen desert is key to survival, but every exit from the train carries danger. The cold can exhaust you, snowstorms limit visibility, and in the silence, undead enemies and other monsters wait. Additionally, Frostrail offers deep mechanics for crafting items, gathering resources, and managing heat as a critical resource.

The game supports solo play and a cooperative multiplayer mode. Teamwork will also be crucial in fighting monsters and exploring dangerous bunkers full of valuable supplies. Every decision, from choosing the train’s route to distributing equipment, can determine the difference between life and death.
