The popular racing game series Tokyo Xtreme Racer is making its return with an Early Access launch for PC via Steam on January 23. Developer Genki has announced that this version will be in Early Access for around four months. It will offer a significant portion of the game, including the story up to about the halfway mark, and focus on key features like the Spirit Point Battle system and extensive car tuning.

You can look forward to racing against over 200 rivals, each with unique stories, and exploring over 180 kilometers of Tokyo’s iconic Shuto Expressway. The Early Access version also introduces 50 playable cars and a brand-new player skill progression system. The full release is set to expand on this, adding more storylines, cars, and rival characters, as well as addressing any issues identified during Early Access.

In Tokyo Xtreme Racer, you race through a futuristic, sealed-off Tokyo. The game’s faithful recreation of the Shuto Expressway brings dramatic turns, twists, and elevation changes for a realistic, high-speed challenge. The Spirit Point Battle system tests not just speed but your ability to outlast and outsmart rivals by breaking their will. The game also features mysterious and distinctive opponents with bold driving styles, creating intense highway showdowns.
