Independent publisher Radical Theory has partnered with Spanish developer The Breach Studios to bring Westlanders to life, an ambitious open-world game that blends survival, crafting, building, and management. The game is planned for release on PC via Steam and consoles and will support both solo play and co-op.
Westlanders is set in a harsh world inspired by the American Wild West of the 19th century. Players must survive dangerous weather, scarce resources, and constant threats while learning how to live off the land. Building villages, setting up trade routes, and using frontier tools are all key parts of turning the wild land into a place where people can live and grow.
To make sure the game grows in the right direction, the developers are putting the community at the center of its development. The project will begin with a Kickstarter campaign planned for early 2026. While the game is already funded, the campaign is meant to gather players, share the vision, and build a strong community around the game.
After that, Westlanders will enter an Early Access phase that will last several months. During this time, players and Kickstarter backers will be able to play the game and share feedback directly with the developers. This input will be used to shape features, balance systems, and improve the overall experience before launch.
