Whisper Mountain Outbreak Passes 100,000 Sales in Early Access

Toge Productions has announced that Whisper Mountain Outbreak has passed 100,000 copies sold, reaching this milestone just over four months after entering Steam Early Access on August 11, 2025. The game had a strong start from day one, selling 10,000 copies in its first 24 hours. Since then, a growing community of fans has helped spread the word, drawn in by the game’s mix of 90s horror style and modern roguelike design.

Gameplay follows a roguelike structure, meaning no two runs are the same. Each match starts by offering three random class roles out of six total options, such as support-focused medics or strong close-range fighters. While it can be played alone, the game is clearly built around four-person co-op. Teamwork plays a major role, supported by proximity voice chat and the Friend’s Pass system. Survival depends on smart use of limited resources and solving puzzles under pressure, like cracking number codes or restoring power while enemies close in.

The game’s momentum increased even more with the release of the large Rogue Update. This update added a branching map system that lets teams choose their path during each run. New map modifiers were also introduced, changing each session with effects like poisonous areas, faster monsters, or the removal of healing items. New mission types joined the rotation as well, including a defense mode where teams must survive endless enemy waves.

Whisper Mountain Outbreak is currently available on Steam and is expected to stay in Early Access for about a year. The full release is planned for late 2026, and the price may increase once version 1.0 launches. Until then, Toge Productions plans to keep adding new enemies, story content, and long-term progression systems, while also improving server support to handle the growing number of Agents answering the call of Mount Bisik.
