Coffee Talk Tokyo is a game made for quiet evenings and calm moments. It is a spin-off of the popular Coffee Talk series and takes place in a small café hidden in the backstreets of Tokyo. You take the role of a barista who listens more than they talk, serving warm drinks and quiet comfort to anyone who steps inside. The game is set to release on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch on March 5, 2026.
The café welcomes more than just humans as Yokai also visit, including creatures like kappa, who come in during Tokyo’s hot summer nights. Every guest brings their own story, filled with worries, memories, and hopes for the future. Some are looking for meaning, while others are dealing with loss or big changes in their lives. Through simple dialogue choices, you can guide conversations and shape how these stories move forward.
You prepare drinks by mixing ingredients and serving hot hojicha or refreshing cold drinks based on what customers ask for. Making the right drink can open new story paths and deeper conversations. A new feature lets you create latte art using stencils, adding a quiet creative moment to each shift. There is also an in-game social app called Tomodachill, where you can follow customers and learn more about their lives outside the café.
The characters are the true heart of Coffee Talk Tokyo: Kenji is a kappa who once lived the life of a salaryman and now feels lost after retirement. Vin is a barista assistant still carrying pain from a past disaster. Ayame is cheerful and full of energy, even as she learns how to exist after death. Each character feels real and personal, and their stories leave a lasting impression.
Coffee Talk Tokyo is not about speed or skill, it is about slowing down, listening, and finding comfort in small moments. With its thoughtful writing, relaxing gameplay, and unique atmosphere, the game feels like a warm drink shared late at night.
