Featured during the Story-Rich Showcase 2026, the upcoming title from Perfect Garbage and Blumhouse Games titled Grave Seasons combines the familiar comforts of farming sims with a supernatural murder mystery that constantly keeps you on edge.
You arrive in the isolated mountain town of Ashenridge as an escaped convict hoping to leave your past behind. After settling into an abandoned farm, life seems peaceful enough until a string of supernatural killings begins terrorizing the community. Somewhere among the townsfolk is a serial killer, and every decision you make could determine who survives and who becomes the next victim.
The farming side remains a major part of the experience. You’ll grow crops, fish, mine, cook meals, and upgrade your property. But unlike most games in the genre, those activities directly feed into the investigation. Resources can be used to craft helpful items, uncover clues, and prepare for the dangers lurking around town.
Relationships are equally important. Every resident follows their own schedule, has personal stories to uncover, and can potentially become a close friend or romantic partner. The twist? One of them could be the killer. In fact, the game even allows players to romance the murderer, adding another layer of tension to every interaction.
It launches on August 14, 2026, for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
“As our teams work through the realities of game development, we’ve decided to fully prioritize the journey to launch. As a result, we will no longer be releasing a Grave Seasons demo on June 15th. The team would love for this to be possible eventually, but it will depend on studio capacity further down the line. Currently we’re fully focused on getting the game ready on all platforms so our whole community can experience it together on Day 1.
Importantly, to ensure we have the time needed for polish across all platforms, we are moving the release date of the full game to Fall of this year.
We want to make sure Grave Seasons launches in the best possible state for players across all announced platforms. We know this may be disappointing news for those who were looking forward to playing sooner, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding. We can’t wait for you to explore Ashenridge.“
