Grave Seasons is a pixel-art farming and life simulation game with a dark twist, developed by indie studio Perfect Garbage and published by Blumhouse Games. Set for release in 2026, the game uniquely blends calm farming and village life activities with a tense, supernatural murder mystery.

A new trailer was shown during the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted 2025 on December 4. It introduced a new character named Rose and showed off the strange, magical beings that live in the peaceful but uneasy world.

You play as an escaped convict looking for a fresh start as a farmer in the quiet mountain town of Ashenridge. At first, the town seems warm, full of friendly people and farmland, all shown through a cozy top-down pixel style. But things change when a string of murders begins. A supernatural killer is on the loose, and your main goal is to discover who it is. The killer is different each playthrough, so every run feels new.

Your choices matter, and you can:

  • Build trust: Befriend villagers through quests and gifts to gain information.
  • Investigate: Search homes, guess who might be targeted next, and try to stop the killings.
  • Make choices: Decide whether to save people or focus on relationships. You can even romance suspects, including the killer.
  • Uncover secrets: Explore the town’s hidden magic, craft protection charms, and face monsters that stalk the area.

Farming and other daily tasks aren’t only for calm play as you need crops, fish, and mined goods to earn money, unlock leads, and push the mystery forward. Additionally, Grave Seasons will be available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
