Resolution Games, the studio known for the successful game Demeo, has announced a new roguelite game GrimKeep, which will be released for PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam) in 2025. This title combines dice-builder elements with strategic and roguelite mechanics, set in a dark fantasy world inspired by fairy tales and Lovecraftian horror.
The game’s plot is set in a lost city where darkness spreads from the castle GrimKeep, turning its inhabitants into grotesque abominations. You will have to fight your way through the devastated streets, defeat various monsters, and ultimately confront the source of the evil, the Princess who started it all. Each new playthrough brings unique challenges, and it is possible to unlock new characters, equipment, and special events.
The key game mechanics are based on collecting powerful relics and creating synergies that completely change the course of combat. Although the game has certain RNG aspects, the real strength lies in strategic planning and adaptation. The hand-crafted visuals add a special depth and charm to this world, while different characters offer entirely unique playstyles.
