Mahou Arms, the anime-inspired hack-and-slash action title developed by Dischan Media and published by Sekai Project, has had its full 1.0 release delayed to July 27, 2026. Originally scheduled to launch in April on Steam, the decision reflects the studio’s effort to ensure a more polished and complete experience following a lengthy Early Access period that began in 2020.

You take on the role of a commander overseeing a small squad, combining third-person combat missions with base interactions that include relationship-building elements. The gameplay focuses on fast-paced, stylish action, featuring transformations, combo-based combat, and character progression systems inspired by anime and character action games.

According to the development team, the delay will allow for additional refinement, including bug fixes, expanded quality assurance, and the integration of extra content directly into the base game rather than post-launch updates. The studio said that this new July release date is firm, while also teasing a potential surprise for players at launch.

On Steam, Mahou Arms is available in an all-ages version that includes mild fanservice elements, while optional adult content can be added separately through official patches distributed outside the platform. The game has received “Very Positive” user reviews, suggesting a strong foundation as it approaches its full release.
