A new roguelite game called Rogue Labyrinth is set to bring a mix of sarcastic humor and chaotic action to Steam on September 1st. Published by indie.io and developed by Tea Witch Games, the game puts a fresh spin on the battle royale genre by blending it with a narrative adventure.

In Rogue Labyrinth, you take on the role of Iris, a sarcastic punk protagonist who returns home to find her country Lantanas has been taken over by a twisted reality show. The show, created by an egocentric billionaire named Echelon, takes place in a massive labyrinth and offers a single prize: the new title of Monarch of Lantanas. Swept into this high-stakes competition, Iris must fight for her survival in a spectacle where TV ratings matter as much as staying alive.

Forced into the competition, you will battle your way through randomized biomes in the ever-shifting Labyrinth. You’ll need to dodge traps, fight monsters, and survive the mayhem. Each time you play, you’ll discover new abilities, attacks, and potential allies. Iris can turn almost anything into a weapon, from rocks and furniture to even unconscious contestants, turning the entire arena into a playground of controlled chaos.

The combat system is a fast-paced mix of bullet-hell dodging and hack-and-slash action. You must deflect incoming attacks, launch improvised projectiles, and use the environment to create chaotic chain reactions. With magical abilities, ancient artifacts, and even viewer-donated upgrades, every run offers a chance to experiment with new strategies and outcomes.
