Despite recent rumors suggesting otherwise, The Wolf Among Us 2 has not been canceled. A whistleblower claimed that the game’s development was in jeopardy and that the team at Telltale Games was facing a “critical point” where abandoning the project might be their only option. This caused concern among fans eagerly awaiting the sequel to the beloved episodic game.

In response to these rumors, Telltale issued a statement to Eurogamer, assuring fans that development is ongoing. “As a rule, we don’t comment on rumors and unverified Reddit threads,” a Telltale PR representative said. “However, development on The Wolf Among Us 2 continues, and we’re excited to share more with our fans and community when the time is right.”

The game was originally announced in 2017 but faced multiple setbacks. Development initially halted when Telltale Games went through major layoffs and ultimately shut down in 2018, leading many to believe the sequel would never see the light of day. However, in a surprising turn, Telltale was revived under new leadership less than a year later. The company re-announced the game and began developing it from scratch, with pre-production starting shortly after.
