During the Humble Games Showcase, publisher Humble Games and developer Riyo Games presented a new trailer for the turn-based RPG Threads of Time, which introduced a new character named Barza. This long-awaited title promises a journey through different epochs of time, combining the charm of retro gaming with modern visual standards.
Threads of Time offers impressive 2.5D pixel graphics, crafted with the help of Unreal Engine 5, which takes players through various locations in different time periods. From the magnificent age of dinosaurs to a distant future filled with mechanical marvels, each era brings its own story, adventure, and secrets waiting to be uncovered. Through striking anime cutscenes, you will uncover a conspiracy that threatens to destroy the very fabric of time.
The dynamic turn-based combat system is one of the biggest strengths of this title. Through strategic battles, you will be able to use different tactics to tear down enemy defenses, control time, and execute powerful team combos. One of the key elements of the game is the ability to assemble a team of characters from different time periods, with each character bringing their own story and unique skills.
Although the release date is still unknown, Threads of Time will be available on consoles, including Xbox Series X/S, and on the PC platform via Steam.
