The The Savage Planet franchise is soon to get its sequel, titled Revenge of the Savage Planet, if everything goes according to plan and the release date, slated for May, isn’t delayed. Announced last year at the PC Game Show: Most Wanted event, it was already promised that the game would deliver everything players loved about Journey to the Savage Planet, but with new planets, cooperative gameplay, and a few new surprises.

This time, you’ll be exploring a sci-fi universe featuring four unique planets, and a new trailer has just revealed a fifth planet. Along with a multiplayer mode that supports split-screen and online cross-play, there’s also a single-player mode that offers a slightly different experience. Both modes introduce a new third-person perspective, along with even more shooting, humor, exploration, and survival.

The game will also allow players to build and customize their own habitats, scan and catalog alien life, and craft tools for survival in dynamic environments. Exploration will lead you through mountains, lakes, and various other settings, while the fifth planet, inspired by ’90s arcade game nostalgia, combines neon lights and retro-wave aesthetics, all to provide a striking visual contrast.

It has been confirmed that Revenge of the Savage Planet will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
