Game industry veterans and former Piranha Bytes developers, Björn and his wife Jenny Pankratz, established Pithead Studio last year. Since then, they’ve been hard at work on their immersive dungeon crawler Cralon. The duo recently showcased a new trailer at Awesome Indies, where they also announced that the game will be coming to Xbox and PlayStation thanks to a collaboration with publisher Artex Software.

In Cralon, you assume the role of Cralon the Brave, a hero pursuing a demon that has been terrorizing a nearby village. The chase leads to a fall down the shaft of an old mine, trapping Cralon in a dark and mysterious underworld. A maze of seamless levels, twisting corridors, and hidden secrets awaits as you attempt to find a way out and avert the impending doom.

Along the way, you’ll encounter bizarre creatures that can be both hostile and friendly, and you may even find help among them to face your fears and uncover the secret of the mine. The game promises a blend of combat, exploration, and mystery, where you can engage in both melee and ranged combat, upgrade your character, and craft items using recipes.

“We still remain independent for the release of Cralon for PC, but we are super happy that we found a partner who we have known personally for decades and with whom we can now expand to more platforms with our game.”
