Chinese publisher Spiral Up Games, best known for the successful titles Back to the Dawn and Wandering Sword, has announced a new collaboration with developer ChillyRoom. Together, they are working on the roguelite action game ReBlade: The Death Spiral. While a release date has not yet been revealed, since ChillyRoom is also developing the action RPG Loulan: The Cursed Sand in parallel, it has been confirmed that the game will be available on PC via Steam.

In ReBlade: The Death Spiral, players are placed in a cyberpunk world inspired by Chinese mythology, taking on the role of a female robot named Synthetic. Using a wide variety of weapons, chips, and augments, you’ll fight against mechanical creatures in an effort to stop the endless resetting of the world.

Each run will be different thanks to roguelite mechanics, while additional depth comes from soulslike elements such as parrying, dodging attacks, and learning enemy patterns. Players can also expect an upgrade system that allows adaptation to new challenges, as well as demanding boss fights that will be anything but easy.

The team at ChillyRoom emphasizes that death in the game is not the end, but rather an opportunity to learn from mistakes, meet various NPCs and adjust your strategy. The goal is to gradually uncover the truth hidden behind this strange world.
