In 2026, IndieGames continues to attend events that bring together fans of not only video games, but also music, cinema, and other cultural works. This time, we are kicking off the season of our coverage of various initiatives with the Anime Symphony concert, which will take place on January 30th in Cracow. Although we have already had the opportunity to listen to their performances at larger events, this time it will be a completely new rendition of this music, performed by a chamber orchestra.

Anime Symphony Kameralnie is a concert of music inspired by Japanese animation, performed in a classical, chamber music format. The project combines the world of pop culture with high culture and music education. Thanks to fewer musicians on stage, each instrument becomes clearer, each note more intimate. The distance disappears, and the audience, thanks to the proximity of the stage, can fully immerse themselves in the musical narrative.

Musicians combining different musical worlds – from classical music and jazz to contemporary sounds, film scores, and video game music – will perform on stage in Cracow. The heart of the concert will be a string ensemble, whose delicacy and precision provide the perfect backdrop for the emotional arrangements of the pieces. The sound of the orchestra will be enriched by piano and guitar, as well as a unique instrument rarely seen in Poland: the Japanese koto. Krzysztof Ratajski is responsible for the arrangements during the concert. He composes and arranges not only concert music, but also film, theater, and computer game music.

The concert is being organized in cooperation with the authorities of Krakow and is also under the patronage of the Embassy of Japan in Poland. The Yumegakanau Foundation, known for combining symphonic music with pop culture in the broadest sense, is responsible for the entire Anime Symphony project.
