Devir has announced The Red Cathedral: Digital Edition, bringing its award-winning strategy board game to PC via Steam, Android, and iOS devices. Better yet, the adaptation will support full cross-play, allowing players across platforms to compete together in matches of up to four players.

For those unfamiliar with the original release, The Red Cathedral became a standout hit in the board gaming community thanks to its elegant design, strong resource management mechanics, and highly strategic gameplay. The physical version has sold more than 100,000 copies and received multiple award nominations since its launch.

The objective is simple on paper but challenging in practice. Players compete for the Tsar’s favor by claiming sections of a cathedral, gathering resources, and carefully managing construction and decoration projects. Success depends on balancing materials, timing, guild influence, and long-term planning better than your rivals.

The digital adaptation aims to preserve everything that made the tabletop version popular while adding the convenience of online play. Players can challenge friends locally or online, face random opponents, or test their skills against AI opponents with multiple difficulty settings.

Devir has also included a detailed tutorial designed to help newcomers learn the game’s systems without feeling overwhelmed. Meanwhile, veterans can expect the same strategic depth and replayability that earned the board game its reputation.
