Publisher astragon Entertainment and developer GRIP Studios have announced Police Simulator, a new entry in the law-enforcement simulation series. It will launch in 2027 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, although an exact release date remains unconfirmed.
Set in the fictional East Coast metropolis of Faremont City, the game divides its map into three districts containing up to five neighbourhoods each. Players begin with everyday duties before unlocking greater responsibilities, new locations, equipment and specialised vehicles.
More than 50 missions and callouts are planned, ranging from parking violations, jaywalking and traffic accidents to car thefts, drug offences and armed robberies. A character creator will allow players to customise their officer before beginning their career.
A major addition is the K-9 system, which introduces dedicated patrol shifts with several dog breeds. Police dogs can follow fleeing suspects, identify illegal substances and support officers during dangerous situations.
Equipment includes cameras, traffic barriers, radar guns and stun guns. Firearms are also available but governed by an escalation protocol, with service weapons intended as a final response to armed threats.
Players can patrol alone or join another officer through two-player online co-op. The official announcement confirms full cross-play support, allowing partners to connect across different platforms.
Built with Unreal Engine 5, Police Simulator also features revised vehicle handling and more active AI traffic, including public transport. Its fleet ranges from rapid patrol cars and SUVs to suspect-transport vans and off-road vehicles designed for different assignments.
