Steampunk Adventure City of Springs Brings Open-World Exploration and Drone Battles

Independent development teams Alterego Games and The Naked Dev have unveiled City of Springs, a steampunk adventure game where players fight a cruel regime using crafted and modified robotic drones. The game combines exploration, strategy, and storytelling, and will be available for PC via Steam on January 31st.

In this game, you play as Val, a brilliant mechanic living in the poor quarter of the last city on Earth. Life in the city is strictly controlled by a cruel regime that punishes every act of disobedience by reducing food rations. The city, described as a “broken clock,” desperately needs someone to stand up to the evil ministries and bring about change.

In City of Springs, you can explore the hidden corners of the city in search of resources, craft and upgrade your drones, and engage in one-on-one duels with robotic guards. Precise timing and strategy are key in battles, but you can also choose to bypass enemies and surveillance cameras to achieve your goals. The game offers a rich, story-driven experience, including 32 main and 43 side quests that span 8 to 20 hours of gameplay.
