Hooded Horse and Amplitude have released The Gathering, a major new update for their turn-based strategy game ENDLESS Legend 2. The update brings several big changes to the Early Access version, including the full launch of multiplayer, large updates to the world map, better diplomacy systems, and many fixes and balance changes. Together, these updates give players plenty of new reasons to return to the game as the year comes to an end.
The main feature of The Gathering is the arrival of multiplayer in the main version of the game. Until now, multiplayer was only available through a test branch, but it is now open to all players. Fans can create lobbies, pick their factions, and challenge friends in long, tactical matches. While multiplayer is now live, the developers say it is still in beta and will continue to improve as they collect feedback from the community.
Alongside multiplayer, the update makes important changes to how the game world works. The world map has been reshaped, with territory sizes increased by about 30 percent. This change affects how players expand, control land, and plan their strategies over time.
The update also improves several core systems: diplomacy has been improved to feel more stable and meaningful, making deals and rivalries easier to manage. New game speed options have been added as well, with each speed changing how some systems behave, allowing players to better match the pace of the game to their playstyle.
Several factions and systems have also been adjusted. The Necrophage economy has been reworked, the Pacification quest flow has been improved, and different Aspects across the game have received balance updates. On top of that, the patch includes many quality-of-life improvements, bug fixes, and tutorial updates, along with specific tweaks to improve performance on the Steam Deck.
ENDLESS Legend 2 is available now in Early Access on PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and on PC Game Pass.
