Officially announced during the Indie Quest 2026 Showcase, Full Circle is a new RPG from solo developer 2ndPlayerGames and publisher Deck13 Spotlight. The game takes heavy inspiration from classics like Breath of Fire, Lunar, Final Fantasy, and The Legend of Dragoon while blending them with modern visuals.

Story takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity survives in floating cities above a ruined surface overrun by mutated creatures. You follow a group of young heroes sent down into the dangerous wilds, only to discover survivors, rival civilizations, and secrets that completely change what they thought they knew about the world.

Visually, the game immediately captures that old-school JRPG feeling with pixel art environments mixed with modern lighting and cinematic effects. Full Circle also uses a turn-based system mixed with real-time timing mechanics, allowing players to chain attacks, swap party members during battle, and combine abilities for stronger combos.

The party system sounds fairly deep too, with active and reserve members, gear synergies, and customizable playstyles. Outside combat, you will explore ruins, tame creatures, salvage technology, and uncover side quests throughout the world.

Full Circle will be playable publicly for the first time at Gamescom later this year, where fans can finally get their hands on a demo. You can also wishlist it on Steam.
