Bits & Bops, a collection of more than 20 original rhythm mini-games, has been surprise-released on PC via Steam after its unexpected appearance during the Wholesome Snack 2025 Showcase. The game brings together catchy music, charming hand-drawn 2D animation, and quick, easy-to-learn gameplay meant to be fun and accessible for everyone.

Inspired by the classic Rhythm Heaven series, Bits & Bops focuses on short rhythm challenges that are easy to replay and full of personality. The controls are simple, making the game welcoming to both experienced rhythm players and complete newcomers. To keep the action smooth and responsive, the team built a custom engine designed for extremely fast input timing, letting you feel every beat with precision.

The game has been widely anticipated since it was first revealed in 2021. It was funded through a successful Kickstarter campaign in December 2022 and continued to grow through extra community support, which helped the team work toward stretch goals like a mixtape editor. Over time, the project gained more attention through its evolving demo, showings at BitSummit and several Wholesome Games events, and even a nomination at the GameMaker Awards.

Although Bits & Bops is available now on PC, the developers plan to bring the game to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S after launch.
